Payment and Fees
Initial Session (90 minutes) $250.00
Individual Psychotherapy (50 minute session) $180.00
Longer “block” sessions are available by request
Payment is due at the time of session. Payment will be collected through a secure patient portal via simple practice. I can accept all major credit/debit cards in addition to HSA/FSA accounts.
Insurance participation
I am an out of network provider which means I can provide you with a monthly invoice to submit to your insurance. If you have out of network benefits, you can be reimbursed for sessions. The amount will vary based on your plan. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify out of network benefits for mental health.
This enables you to control your care, including choosing your therapist and the length of treatment in addition to:
Increased privacy and confidentiality (except for limits of confidentiality) as your information stays with me
Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis, which is not always appropriate or necessary.
Freedom in discussing the issues important to you that may not be a “billable” psychiatric issue through the lens of insurance providers
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
A minimum of 48 hours is required for cancellation. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours the full session fee will be charged. This is because your session time is reserved only for you.
If you need to reschedule your appointment and provide adequate notice I will do my best to see you within the same week, although this may not always be possible.
Session Frequency
We’ll start by meeting once a week to build consistency and momentum in the work. Regular sessions help us get to the heart of what’s going on and keep the process moving forward. Over time, as your goals are met and symptoms begin to ease, many clients choose to move to bi-weekly sessions to maintain growth and stay connected to the work at a gentler pace.

1. Consultation Call
Begin with a complementary 20 minute call to determine if we are a good fit for one another. If I feel a referral would be more helpful for you I will provide you with options.
-
2. Intake Session
We will dive right into what is bringing you to therapy with a 90 minute session focusing on inquiry into your problems you’d like help with as well as your goals.
-
3. Regular Therapy Sessions
A typical therapy schedule is once per week for 50 minutes. Meeting regularly allows us to stay connected to our work together. You may have different needs, and other arrangements can be discussed.
-
4. Ending Therapy
Once you feel better and your goals are accomplished we will determine a plan for winding down our sessions. A plan will be in place so that you feel confident about integrating all of the work you’ve done.
